Shantel VanSanten and Julian Morris co-star as a young couple stalked by a masked villain
Just in time for Lifetime's Brittany Murphy biopic, the final film starring the late actress hits theaters.
“Something Wicked” opens on Friday in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and a new trailer for the psychological thriller teases the tension.
The creepy character doesn't speak, and instead stares ominously out of a dark window as Vansanten and Morris run away screaming from one attack after another.
“Something Wicked” was filmed six months before Murphy's death in 2009 from what the coroner ruled as an accident caused by a combination of pneumonia, an iron deficiency and “multiple drug intoxication.”
Murphy first made a big splash in “Clueless,” which led to starring roles in “Just Married,” “Little Black Book,” “Girl, Interrupted” and “8 Mile,” among many others.
Theaters that will show “Something Wicked” in the Los Angeles region includes Orange County, San Bernardino, Chino, Riverside, Ventura and more.
Meanwhile, “The Brittany Murphy Story” premieres Saturday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.
