Candy Crowley Lands Exclusive With President Obama for Final ‘State of the Union’

Crowley departs CNN after 27 years Sunday; will exclusively Interview President Obama Sunday

Candy Crowley will depart CNN on a high Sunday—she’s scored an exclusive interview with President Obama.

And she’ll have plenty of topics to choose from in the high-profile interview: this week, the president made a historic deal with Cuba to release American contractor Alan Gross and responded to many press questions about cyberterrorism in the aftermath of Sony canceling “The Interview” in the face of terror threats.

Crowley has been with CNN for 27 years, covering politics as a reporter, then assuming the role of host of “State of the Union” on Sundays in 2010. Crowley achieved a milestone in 2012, becoming the first women to moderate a presidential debate 20 years.

The president sat down with ABC’s David Muir on Wednesday to talk about his deal with Cuba. He also answered questions about the Sony scandal (the interview taped before Sony announced “The Interview’s cancelation)

You can watch the interview Sunday morning at 9amET/6amPT.
