Casey Kasem’s children, Kerri, Mike and Julie Kasem, will hold a private memorial service for family and friends on Saturday.
The location will not be made public in order to ensure the ceremony is kept private, a rep for Kerri Kasem told TheWrap. It’s unclear at this point if Casey’s wife Jean Kasem will be invited.
Casey Kasem passed away on Sunday morning. He was 82.
The radio icon and voice of Shaggy on “Scooby Doo” had suffered from Lewy body disease, a progressive form of dementia, which left him unable to speak, eat or move on his own. He was transferred to hospice care in Washington state shortly before his death following a weeks-long bitter battle between wife Jean and his kids over his medical care.
