CBS Orders Terrorism Pilot From ‘Revenge’ Producer Nikki Toscano

Drama revolves around a retired CIA officer who’s pulled back into action after a terrorist attack hits Washington, D.C.

CBS is getting into the terror game with its latest pilot order.

The network has given a pilot order to an as-yet-untitled drama from “Revenge” producer Nikki Toscano and Kerry Ehrin.

“When a terrorist event rocks Washington, D.C., a retired CIA operative is pulled back into action, forced to investigate closer to home where the next generation of terrorists are being bred,” a description of the series reads.

Toscano is writing and executive producing, with Kerry Ehrin (“Boston Legal,” “Bates Motel”) serving as consultant.

Universal Television and CBS Television Studios are the studios for the project.

Among the other pilots that the network has ordered so far this season: An untitled drama from Kevin Williamson, about a pair of detectives who handle stalking incidents; and “Madam Secretary,” starring Tea Leoni, about the personal and professional life of a maverick female Secretary of State as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life.
