Ratings: ‘Chicago Fire’ Crossover Kickoff Jumps 29 Percent, NBC Tops 18-49

CBS finishes first in viewers, despite demo drops

So far, so good with that whole NBC drama mega-crossover, as “Chicago Fire” started the three-series, three-episode arc with a 29 percent demo lift. Paired with “The Voice,” NBC topped the night among viewers 18-49; CBS had the best night per total viewers.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.7 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in viewers with an average of 10.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.9/9 — a night high — and 11.2 million viewers. “Chicago Fire” at 10 received a 2.2/7 — up 29 percent from its most recent original — and 9.1 million viewers. The episode kicked off the “Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” and “Law & Order: SVU” crossover, which concludes Wednesday evening.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.9/6 and in viewers with 13.8 million. “NCIS” at 8 had a 2.3/7 and a primetime-best 17.4 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at 9 got a 2.0/6 and 14.9 million viewers. “Person of Interest” at 10 fell 24 percent to a 1.3/4 and had 9 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 1.5/4 and fourth in viewers with 3.8 million. “MasterChef Junior” at 8 received a 1.8/6 and 4.8 million viewers. “New Girl” at 9 had a 1.3/4 — down 19 percent from last week — and 2.9 million viewers. “The Mindy Project” at 9:30 got a 1.0/3 — down 23 percent — and 2.5 million viewers.

ABC, Univision and The CW tied for fourth in ratings, each with a 1.1/3. ABC was third in viewers with a 3.9 million viewers; Univision was fifth with 2.9 million viewers; CW was sixth with 2.8 million.

For ABC, “Selfie” at 8 got a 0.9/3 and 3.3 million viewers. Following a rerun, “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” at 9 had a 1.5/4 — a series low — and 4.3 million viewers. “Forever” at 10 got a 1.0/3 and 4.2 million viewers.

For CW, “The Flash” at 8 received a 1.4/4 and 3.4 million viewers. “Supernatural’s” 200th episode had a 0.9/3 and 2.2 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in total viewers with 1.3 million.
