NBC’s fourth “Chicago” show, “Chicago Law,” has cast Philip Winchester as the lead, TheWrap has learned.

The new series rounds out Dick Wolf’s new franchise that currently includes “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” and “Chicago PD.”

Wolf, who created the “Law & Order” franchise at NBC, teased the idea of a fourth entry during the recent Television Critics Association winter press tour.

“Med” was the top scripted show of its Nov. 17 premiere night, earning a 2.2 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, along with 8.6 million total viewers.

Winchester is coming off of NBC’s short-lived drama “The Player.” His other TV credits include Cinemax’s “Strike Back” and Starz’s “Camelot.” He is represented by UTA.
