Fox News backs him up
Fresh off a two-week vacation that culminated in a double Emmy win, Stephen Colbert returned to the air with an important message:
While he deserves to be on TV, news about the volatile situation in Ferguson, Mo. does not.
After showing off his two new golden bookends, the “Colbert Report” host jumped right into the racial conflict in America's heartland.
“I urge everyone to wait to pass judgement on Officer Darren Wilson,” Colbert pleaded, speaking of the officer who shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown. “Some are rushing to judge this man as a violent, racist cop who gunned down an unarmed black teenager, but others argue that he's a heroic police officer doing his job by gunning down an unarmed black teenager. We don't know if this was racist, or even if racism still exists.”
Colbert's next big point? This shouldn't be on television argument. He ran some Fox News clips to back up his argument.
