The CW has just given three of its freshman series a vote of confidence.

The network has ordered additional scripts from “The Originals” after just two episodes, “The Tomorrow People” after one episode and “Reign” in advance of its series premiere next week, a network spokesperson told TheWrap.

This week, the second episode of the “The Originals” along with “Supernatural” gave The CW its most-watched Tuesday in four years. On its first airing without the lead-in of “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Originals” averaged 1.92 million viewers and a 1.1/4 in the network’s key demographic of women 18-34, a 0.8/3 in adults 18-34, and a 0.9/3 in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic.

“The Tomorrow People” had a solid debut on Wednesday with 2.3 million viewers and a 1.5/2 in the advertiser demo.

While a script order is encouraging, it doesn’t mean that the new shows are guaranteed a full season order. That remains to be seen.
