Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell star in the supernatural thriller from writer-director Greg McLean
Up-and-coming actor Parker Mack (“Divergent”) has joined the cast of the Blumhouse thriller “6 Miranda Drive,” TheWrap has learned.
Universal Pictures will distribute the film worldwide as part of its first-look deal with Blumhouse.
Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell star in the film, which follows the Taylor family, who bring home a powerful supernatural force from their Grand Canyon vacation that threatens both their sanity and their lives.
“Veep” star Matt Walsh recently joined the cast as Gary Carter, and Mack will play his son Andrew. The Carters are a fun-loving family that crosses paths with the Taylors on their vacation.
Greg McLean (“Wolf Creek”) wrote and will direct the film, which Blumhouse principal Jason Blum (“Paranormal Activity”) is producing with Bianca Martino of Emu Creek Pictures and Matt Kaplan of Chapter One, whose Robyn Marshall will co-produce.
Mack, who recently finished filming the indie “A Sort of Homecoming,” previously appeared in the blockbuster hit “Divergent,” as well as the NBC series “Chicago Fire.” He's repped by Paradigm Agency, Strong Management, MBM Management and attorneys Ryan Goodell and Alex Kohner.
A co-founder of the Upright Citizens Brigade, Walsh will soon be seen as a renegade storm chaser in Steven Quale's “Into the Storm,” which New Line will release in August. He recently directed his second feature “A Better You,” which he co-wrote with Brian Huskey. He's repped by CAA, Principato-Young Entertainment and attorney Lev Ginsburg.
