Elisabeth Hasselbeck Vows Never to Return to ‘The View’: ‘I Did My Time’ (Video)

“You break up with me, I’m not going to kiss you,” Fox News host tells Rachael Ray

Elisabeth Hasselbeck takes a shot at her old show “The View” in a new interview set to air on Tuesday’s episode of “Rachael Ray.” The former ABC panelist and current Fox News personality told Ray she no longer watches the daytime talker and explained why she has zero interest in returning to guest host.

“I did my time, I was outta there,” she told Ray. “That time is passed. I was thankful to have the decade that I did there… And you know what? You break up with me, I’m not going to kiss you.”

As TheWrap previously reported, “The View” has undergone quite a shakeup already this year. First, new host Rosie Perez was rumored to be on the chopping block. Next, Rosie O’Donnell abruptly departed the series, citing her divorce and health issues as reasons for leaving.

Ray asked Hasselbeck about the opening at the show’s “revolving table,” but the former “View” host said she hadn’t been keeping up on all the drama.

“What’s going on?” Hasslebeck asked. “I haven’t watched it.”

Hasselbeck left “The View” in July of 2013, amid widespread reports the network was about to fire. In September she started with Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” and has been there ever since.

“It’s a great mix where we are,” she told Ray. “I have to say, Steve [Doocy] and Brian [Kilmeade] are so funny and interesting and wise and smart. And they take such good care of me.”
