Luke Barnett and Vincent Masciale, the team behind the film “Fear, Inc,” have signed with APA, TheWrap has exclusively learned.

The film, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, stars Lucas Neff, Caitlin Stasey, Chris Marquette, Stephanie Drake, Mark Moses and Abigail Breslin. Masciale directed with Barnett writing the script.

It follows a company who can be hired to bring your greatest fears to life. But when horror junkie Joe Foster’s (Neff) customized scare seemingly begins, he and his friends must figure out if this company is there to scare them, or make them pawns in their own sick game.

Barnett and Masciale produced the film under their Lone Suspect production banner, along with Natalie Rose Masciale and Heather Kasprzak. It was based on an original short of the same name the duo produced back in 2014.

Dean Devlin‘s Electric Entertainment acquired the U.S. rights for the film and slated it for wide release on October 21, 2016.

Barnett and Masciale are best-known for their Funny or Die videos, which have touched on everything from “Game of Thrones,” “The Walking Dead,” and “The Newsroom.” They also collaborated on the 2013 comedy short “A Message to Aaron Sorkin.” They are repped by APA and Untitled Entertainment.

For the record: A previous version of the story gave an incorrect release date for the movie.
