Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in HBO’s hit series, “Game of Thrones,” says Season 6 is “the biggest season yet” — particularly for her character.

“I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa,” Turner told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s probably her best season yet. It’s her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it’s really good.”

In Season 5, Sansa returned to her home of Winterfell to marry Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). She also reunited with Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen). One of the last scenes of the season showed Sansa and Theon jumping off the walls of Winterfell, with no indication of whether they survived or managed to flee from Sansa’s psychotic husband.

Turner, who said that fans might finally be “getting that storyline that you’ve been craving for the past five seasons,” also said that past seasons have been building up to this one.

“You can only suffer so much before she finally gets… the respect that she deserves,” she said.

“Game of Thrones” is known for its cliffhangers and major shockers, like the one from last season where Kit Harington‘s character, Jon Snow, was brutally stabbed and left for dead. Turner promises Season 6 won’t fall short of surprises, either.

“I mean this season there’s like so many shocks, it’s massive,” Turner said. “It’s the biggest season yet. And just like in terms of character development, so many people’s storylines, I’m so excited for. I’m so excited to see Alfie’s one this season. It’s going to be good.”

Harington also recently told BBC Breakfast that “it’s going to be an exciting season.”

“Game of Thrones” will return to HBO on April 24.
