“How to Get Away With Murder” has cultivated a reputation for its steamy sex scenes. And star Karla Souza says the way the scenes are shot are even steamier before audiences get to see them, particularly one sequence she filmed with her co-star Charlie Weber.
“They were more steamy in real life, but they just edited so much of them because of the standards and practices thing,” Souza said in an interview with TheWrap’s Stuart Brazell. “That scene in the basement where we take all our clothes off, we literally had to take our clothes off and slam each other against the wall.”
She said with a laugh: “It was hard to get that out of my mind for a few weeks after that. I think Charlie hopefully did to.”
Even though Laurel was responsible for putting Charlie in jail, Souza teased that their characters could possibly get steamy again down the line. Maybe not right away, but possibly in the future.
“Let’s give Wes a little bit of time people. He just died. He literally just died,” she said. “But I think so.”
For now, Laurel is fully committed to finding out who’s responsible for Wes’s murder. That’ll presumably be a big part of the show as Season 2 approaches its endgame in the next few weeks.
“You’re going to find out Laurel’s definitely taking it to the next level to find out who killed Wes,” Souza said. “She’s going to avenge his death.”
