‘Gotham’s’ Nicholas D’Agosto Talks About His Passion for Sex and Fast Food (Video)

The Fox star dishes about his new role and his parents’ reaction to all those racy scenes in “Masters of Sex”

Four things you should know about “Gotham” star Nicholas D’Agosto:

1. He really doesn’t like to be called Nick.

2. He used to work at his parents’ Arby’s in Nebraska during summers and weekends.

3. He’s quite proud of his steamy sex scenes in Showtime’s “Masters of Sex.”

4. He’s even more handsome in person, which, truth be told, is a bit upsetting.

All that could be forgiven if D’Agosto was remotely dumb or vapid. Sadly, he’s neither.

D’Agosto stopped by TheWrap‘s studios for a Q&A, when he discussed his transition from Dr. Eric Haas in “Masters of Sex” to “Gotham’s” Harvey Dent on Fox’s new drama.

“If I could do this for the rest of my career, I would be so happy,” D’Agosto told TheWrap. “This show has very exciting elements that are completely different. What I like though, is that surprisingly both characters have very deep similarities.”

D’Agosto also spilled the beans on all those steamy sex scenes with Lizzy Caplan in “Masters of Sex.” We asked whether his parents were uncomfortable with some of the more racy moments.

“My mother was probably easier with it than my pops … I do it because I’m passionate about it,” he said. Then, D’Agosto tried to backtrack. “Wait, that sounds terrible. I do sex because I’m passionate about it. I like the sex passionate? I’m just digging a hole here.”

Fun fact: D’Agosto is from Nebraska. And even funner fact: His parents used to make him work at their Arby’s drive-thru.

So of course we had to ask him to give us his best, “Welcome to Arby’s! How can I help you?”

And he went for it! Watch the video.

“Gotham” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
