Fox’s ‘Gotham’ Casts ‘Masters of Sex’ Actor Nicholas D’Agosto as Villain Two-Face

The actor will play the same role Aaron Eckhart played in “The Dark Knight”

Another iconic DC villain is headed for “Gotham.”

Nicholas D’Agosto has joined the cast of the hit Fox drama as Harvey Dent, who will eventually become the DC villain known as Two-Face, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

The character was most recently played by Aaron Eckhart on the big screen in Christopher Nolan‘s “The Dark Knight.” On the show, D’Agosto’s Dent is described as a handsome, warm and engaging Assistant District Attorney whose sole mission is to eradicate the crime and corruption that has poisoned Gotham.

With the city rapidly deteriorating into lawlessness despite the best efforts of Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), it probably won’t take too long for Dent to start transforming into his fated alter ego.

D’Agosto will be in multiple episodes as a recurring guest star, and has an option to be upped to a series regular if the show gets renewed.
