Hannibal Lecter Gets a Hulu Cooking Show… for April Fools (Video)

Hulu unveils a slew of spinoffs

Hulu likes to go big for April Fool’s day — remember three years ago, when the site reverted to the 90s? — but this time it just decided to let the day slip by unnoticed.

Nope, there nothing unusual at all on the site. Just a promo for a new Hannibal Lecter cooking show, “In the Kitchen With Hannibal,” where the psychologist fixes up “dishes to die for.”

And it turns out the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Terry Crews is getting a spinoff, “The Field,” in which his character, Sergeant Jeffords, has to deal with his anger issues. It looks pretty good.

Though Hulu only offered trailers for those two shows, it plans several other spinoffs as well. “That’s My Fitz” will chronicle the rock-solid marriage of the president and first lady on “Scandal.” And the “Arrow” spinoff “AbSolution” offers a “superhero workout for body and soul featuring workouts” inspired by “Arrow” hero Oliver Queen.
