HBO’s ‘Leftovers’ Trailer Promises Anger, Denial and Other Fun Stuff (Video)

Teaser for Damon Lindelof drama gives you plenty of grief

Sometimes the Rapture isn’t quite so rapturous.

HBO has released a new teaser for its upcoming series “The Leftovers,” from Damon Lindelof (“Lost”), which takes an original look at the Rapture…because it’s not entirely clear the Rapture happened.

Though the Rapture may or may not have happened, it’s clear that those that have been left behind are suffering from a definite sense of loss, since the teaser focuses on the classic Kubler-Ross model of the stages of grief that people face when they realize they are dying, such as anger and denial. All set to a groovy Stevie Nicks soundtrack. (By the way, is Stevie Nicks everywhere these days? Has she been cloned or something? What’s up with that, anyway?)

“The Leftovers” premieres June 29. Until that rapturous moment, check out the teaser.
