History Renews Navy SEAL Drama ‘Six’ for Season 2

“Six” has been renewed for another season on History, the network announced on Thursday.

The military drama starring Walton Goggins and Barry Sloane will return for a 10-episode season next year. Season 2 is scheduled to begin filming this summer.

“Six is a captivating drama series that embraces our recent history, while being immensely relevant in the climate of today’s culture,” said Jana Bennett, President & General Manager of History. “It has struck a genuine chord with our audience and we’re proud to continue to tell the courageous stories, both on and off the battlefield, of the complex lives of this elite military group.”

Over its first four outings, “Six” has averaged 2.9 million total viewers per episode, including three days of delayed viewing. Season 1 will conclude on March 8.

The series, from co-creators William and David Broyles, follows members of Navy SEAL Team Six after their leader is captured by Boko Haram. Goggins and Sloane star alongside Alex Caulder, Juan Pablo Raba, Edwin Hodge, Dominic Adams, Brianne Davis, Nadine Velazquez, Jaylen Moore, Donny Boaz and Nondumiso Tembe.
