Kaitlin Olson has been cast as the lead in the Fox comedy pilot “The Mick.”

The single-camera comedy revolves around the hard-living, foul-mouthed Mackenzie “Mickey” Murphy (aka The Mick), a hapless mess, a wry-humored, hard-drinking, cigarette smoking, living large kind of gal, always “between” jobs, and always broke.

A scrappy survivor, who’s run out of options, she decides to pay her rich sister a visit, hoping for a little handout. What she gets, instead, is a full-time baby-sitting gig, when her sister and husband are forced to flee the country in a hurry.

The casting reunites the “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star with brothers John and Dave Chernin, who previously wrote for the FXX comedy. The actress would continue to star on both shows should the Fox pilot go to series.

The actress is also the voice of Destiny, Dory’s adopted sister, a whale shark character in “Finding Dory,” Pixar’s sequel to the 2003 blockbuster “Finding Nemo.”

Olson is repped by UTA and Haven.
