ITV Studios America Names Bruce Gersh as Head of Digital

The Emmy-award winner and media industry veteran will help the company cultivate revenue opportunities

ITV Studios America has named Bruce Gersh to lead its newly created executive vice president and head of digital, strategy and branded entertainment position, the company announced Thursday.

Gersh will also oversee the division’s marketing and help maximize opportunities for brand expansions and revenue streams across the studio’s content roster. He will be based out of the company’s Los Angeles headquarters and report to president Orly Adelson.

“With the addition of Bruce, we are primed to take advantage of one of the most transformative periods in the television business, with limitless opportunities for brand growth across all platforms,” Adelson said in a statement. “Bruce is a proven innovator with a pulse on emerging trends.”

Gersh said, “The team at ITV Studios America is committed to collaboration, innovation and creating truly unique franchises on every platform. I am very excited to be a part of a first class company, with such strong creative and strategic vision. I look forward to building on the momentum to expand our business.”

He was previously SVP, business development at Disney-ABC Television Group and was a co-founder and CEO of FishBowl Worldwide Media.

On Wednesday, the studio named named Lucienne Papon as senior vice president, scripted television, TheWrap previously reported. 

The U.S. production flagship of the U.K. studio, the company is behind popular series such as “Hell’s Kitchen,” “The First 48″ and “Kitchen Nightmares.”
