Jay Leno Mocks GOP Presidential Field on Jamie Foxx’s SiriusXM Show (Video)

“Jeb Bush and Trump, it’s kind of like the race between the tortoise and the bad hair,” former “Tonight Show” host jokes

He may no longer host NBC’s “Tonight Show,” but that’s not stopping Jay Leno from riffing on the hot topics of the day.

During an appearance on Jamie Foxx‘s SiriusXM series “Town Hall,” the former late night personality offered his thoughts on the 2016 presidential candidates, taking shots at some of the frontrunners.

“Well, Jeb Bush and Trump, it’s kind of like the race between the tortoise and the bad hair,” Leno joked about the Republican candidates.

An amused Foxx egged him on, asking about Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

“I don’t know if you saw this, but Hillary was given a very prestigious award by the Elton John foundation. She was voted the future president most likely to look like Elton John,” the host of CNBC’s “Jay Leno‘s Garage” said. “If Bernie Sanders is elected president, he will be the first socialist elected president since 2008. So that’s something to think about.”

“SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Jay Leno” will air on Wednesday, October 21 at 9:00 pm ET, on Jamie Foxx‘s The Foxxhole, SiriusXM channel 96.
