Jenna Elfman Enters Development Deal With 20th Century Fox TV

“Dharma and Greg” actress is searching for a writer for her next project

2oth Century Fox Television has signed a development and talent holding deal with Jenna Elfman. The deal intends to have Elfman work with a writer, either on the comedy or drama side, to develop a new project that she will star in. Elfman has already begun meeting with potential writers.

This marks a reunion between Elfman and the studio after she starred for five seasons on “Dharma and Greg,” produced by 2oth Century Fox Television. More recently, Elfman starred as the First Lady in the short-lived NBC sitcom “1600 Penn,” also produced by Fox.

“She is both a brilliant comedic leading lady and a stunning dramatic actress,” 20th Century Fox Television EVP of Casting Sharon Klein said. “She quite frankly can do everything. Audiences love her and so do we, as our relationship spans from ‘Dharma’ all the way to ‘1600 Penn.’ We could not be more excited to be back in business developing something just for her.”

Elfman recently finished shooting her latest film project, “Big Stone Gap,” which also stars Ashley Judd, Patrick Wilson and Whoopi Goldberg.
