Joseph Gordon-Levitt, ‘Game of Thrones,’ Comcast Among Interactive Media Emmy Winners

Television Academy announced six winners in juried awards for interactive media to be presented at the Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday, Aug. 16

The Television Academy announced Wednesday the six juried award winners for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Media. The winners will receive their Emmy statuettes at the 2014 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014.

Winners were announced at the Interactive Media Peer Group’s Emmy nominee reception in the NoHo Arts District. “Playing House” stars Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham presided over the evening, with assists by Nice Peter & EpicLLOYD of “Epic Rap Battles of History” fame, as well as Harley Morenstein (“Epic Meal Time”) and Yael Stone (“Orange Is the New Black”).

Among the six winners were Joseph Gordon-Levitt for his open-collaborative television show “HitRECord on TV,” HBO’s “Game of Thrones Viewer’s Guide,” Google’s interactive video experiment with Arcade Fire and Comcast’s Xfinity TV on the X1 platform.

The ceremony was hosted by Interactive Media Peer Group governors Seth R. Shapiro and Marc Johnson. “It’s been a watershed year in the evolution of television, with an unprecedented array of amazing work in interactive media, across cable and broadcast, online and mobile,” the pair said. “We’re incredibly proud of the breadth and depth of submissions this Emmy season.”
