Why Seth Rogen Won’t Roast Justin Bieber

The 21-year-old pop phenom continues his image rehab with Comedy Central special

If Justin Bieber has his way, there will be one more roaster at Comedy Central’s #BieberRoast.

The Canadian pop star took to Twitter on Monday to urge actor and comedian Seth Rogen to join the lineup of comedians set to roast him during the upcoming special. Read some of Bieber’s tweets below.

TheWrap reached out to Rogen’s representatives, who said, “Seth’s not in town then.”

The two have a contentious relationship dating back to a 2014 tweet Rogen sent to his 2.6 million Twitter followers calling Bieber “a piece of s–t.” Rogen then appeared on the Howard Stern show and said he had met Bieber years earlier and had not been impressed by the singer.

“He’s a good example of someone who you meet who you think you are going to hate and then you get to hate him as much as you could,” Rogen said in the interview.

Time will tell if the rivalry translates into comedy gold at the “Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber” — 27 days, to be exact; the show airs Mar. 30.
