Pop star Justin Timberlake upset some Palestinian fans Wednesday after he posted an Instagram photo of himself praying on the Western Wall in preparation for his performance in Tel Aviv.
Timberlake wrote, “What an experience. I will never forget this day #Israel.” The photo garnered over 200,000 likes but Palestinian fans were upset with his “Israel” hashtag.
“There was never an Israel, this was always Palestine,” one Instagram fired back.
“FYI , it's called #PALESTINE,” said Instagram user remihattab.
“Theres noland called israel be sure of that , its palestine and forever,” added user shamasadnan.

“All the tickets were sold out,” said user atalyha_levy. “Come to israel again soon!!!!”
Israeli farmers even named a melon after the pop star in anticipation for his performance in the region.
