“Rocket could always come and join the Muppets if it doesn’t work out over there,” he said in an MTV interview. With “Guardians of the Galaxy” setting a new August record with its $94.3 million opening weekend, Rocket’s job with Marvel Studios is looking pretty secure for now.

When talking about crossing their brand with Marvel’s, Kermit admitted that he’d tried out for the role of the Hulk in “The Avengers,” but lacked the proper physique.

“Turns out he’s only computer generated, so we couldn’t talk,” Kermit lamented. “Hard to talk to those guys. Very transparent.”
