Lacey Chabert to Star in Holiday Movie ‘Christmas Tree Farm’ (Exclusive)

“Party of Five” alum will play an aspiring writer who attempts to save her family’s business

Lacey Chabert is getting a very early start to the holiday season.

The “Party of Five” and “Mean Girls” alum has signed on to star in the holiday movie “Christmas Tree Farm,” which will premiere in December on the UP network.

Chabert will play Molly Logan, who grew up on her family’s Christmas tree farm in Vermont writing stories about individual trees, her favorite being a “Charlie Brown” tree struggling to grow. Twenty years later, while pursuing her dreams of a writing career in New York, she learns that the bank is foreclosing on the farm — and that little tree comes back into play.

Chabert’s upcoming projects also include the romantic comedy “Christian Mingle,” directed and written by Corbin Bernsen, and the Hallmark movie “The Color of Rain, which premieres in May.

In addition to Chabert, the cast includes  Corey Sevier (“Cedar Cove”), Matthew Anderson (“Almost Human,” Tomorrowland), Jim Thorburn (“Continuum,” “Blackstone”), Eric Keenleyside (“The Killing”) and Lini Evans.
