Leonardo DiCaprio Mobster Drama in the Works at Showtime

“Wolf of Wall Street” star will executive produce untitled drama by Brett Johnson

Showtime is developing a new drama series executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and his company Appian Way.

The as-yet untitled series is a 1980s mobster drama written by “Ray Donovan” writer Brett Johnson.

The project traces a decade-long relationship between an unstable mafia captain and a rogue federal agent, each violating the strict codes of their respective organizations. Set in 1980s Brooklyn, the series examines the corrosive power the Wall Street era had on both the Mafia and the FBI.

Johnson will write the script and executive produce alongside DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson of Appian Way, Bryan Zuriff, Charles Pacheco, Jennifer Erwin and Dan Pearson.
