Hollywood Stands Behind Leslie Jones: Ellen, Katy Perry, Lena Dunham Speak Out After Nude Photo Hack

The personal website of the “Ghostbusters” actress was hacked on Wednesday, exposing personal information and nude photos

Ellen DeGeneresKaty Perry and Lena Dunham are among the Hollywood stars standing behind Leslie Jones after a hack on her personal website exposed personal information and nude photos.

“Do not give your eyeballs to this racist, hate-filled, misogynoir crime. I ,” tweeted Perry.

“.@Lesdoggg you are beautiful & talented & bring laughter into a world that desperately needs it. You are also my friend & I support you,” DeGeneres wrote on the same social media platform.

On Wednesday, the personal website of the “Ghostbusters” actress was attacked, where the hacker(s) posted personal photos from her iCloud account, which included several nude shots, as well as pictures of her passport and driver license. Jones’ phone number and the password to her Twitter account were also displayed.

A Twitter exchange between Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and the WikiLeaks account led the top of the page wherein Dorsey tweeted that users are only banned for targeted harassment. WikiLeaks responded with a link to one of Jones’ tweets in which she encouraged her followers to go after another harassing user, saying, “Get her.”

The hack of Jones’ site, which has been taken offline, also featured YouTube video of the gorilla Harambe, who was killed in an Ohio zoo earlier this year. Jones was the victim of repeat racist harassment online leading up to the release of “Ghostbusters,” with some Twitter users comparing her to Harambe.
