With only two more episodes left until the end of its freshman season, CBS’s “Madam Secretary” is upping the ante with dramatic new plot twists, and a guest appearance by veteran actor Hill Harper.
On Sunday’s episode, “The Kill List,” Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) prepares for Iranian President Shiraz to sign a nuclear treaty.
As the State Department gets ready for the historic moment, McCord is faced with a massive protest by the Human Rights Campaign in response to Iran’s plans to stone a gay citizen to death.
McCord will also have to make some tough decisions regarding her former best friend, Juliet (Nilaja Sun), who is suspected of treason.
In TheWrap‘s exclusive sneak peek, “Covert Affairs” actor Hill Harper guest stars as Juliet’s husband Aiden Humphrey, who begs Henry McCord (Tim Daly), to find out what happened to his wife.
Juliet has been missing ever since she was connected to the untimely death of former secretary of state, Vincent Marsh, as well as a deadly bombing in Iran. Henry promises to ask Elizabeth for help, but Juliet’s fate may already be sealed.
Making things more complicated: Elizabeth uncovers a top secret plot to assassinate the Iranian leader on U.S. soil.
