Marc Maron Stand-up Comedy Special to Air on Epix

“Marc Maron: More Later” will premiere Dec. 4

Marc Maron, the comedian whose “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast made headlines last month for landing an interview with President Obama, will now star in a comedy special for Epix.

The one-hour special “Marc Maron: More Later” was filmed earlier in the year at the Vic theater in Chicago, and covers topics including religion, relationships, rage, Skype sex and ice cream.

“I’m really excited about this special,” Maron said in a statement. “The Vic is an amazing theater and the crowd in Chicago was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever been funnier, and I should know.”

“Marc’s edgy, smart approach to comedy is admired not only by his peers, but by fans worldwide,” said Mark S. Greenberg, President and CEO of EPIX. “This has been a banner year for EPIX comedy specials and we are honored to continue presenting our viewers with the best stand-up comedy acts performing today, uncut and uncensored.”

The special is produced by Avalon Television, directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, and written and performed by Maron. The executive producers are Maron, Olivia Wingate and David Martin, Dan Lubetkin is the co-executive producer and Whitney Berry is the producer. Ross Bernard is the executive producer for EPIX and Valerie Bishop is the production manager for EPIX.
