Marg Helgenberger Cast in Fox’s ‘Behind Enemy Lines’ Pilot

Former “CSI” star will play a Navy Admiral in TV adaptation of 2001 film

Marg Helgenberger has been cast in the Fox pilot “Behind Enemy Lines,” TheWrap has learned.

The former “CSI” actress will star as Bobbie Decker, a Navy Admiral and the most powerful woman in the military. She’s described by the network as fierce but fair, a no B.S. straight shooter, who will do anything to keep her men and women safe.

The pilot, loosely based on the 2001 Owen Wilson movie of the same name, is a military soap thriller wherein a group of U.S. soldiers find themselves trapped behind enemy lines.

Nikki Toscano is writing and executive producing, and McG will direct the pilot and also serve as an EP.

The multi-perspective narrative centers around soldiers on the ground, and the officers and service men and women on a nearby aircraft carrier, along with intelligence officers in Washington, D.C.

Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, John Davis and John Fox also serve as EPs on the one-hour drama from Twentieth Century Fox Television, Temple Hill and Davis Entertainment.

Helgenberger is repped by ICM and Sanders Armstrong Caserta.
