Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone are in development on a family comedy for Fox, TheWrap has confirmed.

From Warner Bros. Television, the untitled half-hour single-camera sitcom recently received a script development deal from the broadcaster.

Writers Jim Cashman and Mitch Silpa will co-executive produce the project.

Here’s the official logline: An unconventional family is formed when a successful type-A man and his estranged sister, plus her two children, find themselves not only back in each other’s lives but also living under one roof.

That’s about all we have on this project at the moment.

The fall TV season officially kicks off Monday, September 19 — one night removed from ABC’s Emmy Awards.
