Longtime independent film producer Joana Vicente, a member of the executive search committee for a new head of the Independent Film Project, has been named interim head of the organization.
She will join IFP next week to work on the transition with Michelle Byrd and will lead the New York-based independent film organization until a permanent replacement can be found.
