Hulu has ordered a 10-episode second season of the western comedy “Quick Draw,” one of the streaming service’s top summer shows.
During its first season, the half-hour show from John Lehr and Nancy Hower (“10 Items or Less,” “Jailbait”) was typically among the top 10 most-watched shows on Hulu each week. The second season will air next year.

“The second season of ‘Quick Draw’ will continue to crack up current fans and win new ones,” said Charlotte Koh, head of development for Hulu Originals. “We’re really excited to see more of John Lehr and Nancy Hower’s comedic re-imagining of life in the Wild West in 1875.”
“Quick Draw” co-creator and star John Lehr returns as Harvard-educated Sheriff John Henry Hoyle, who uses his forensics expertise to solve crimes in a small Kansas town. Also returning are Deputy Eli (Nick Brown), saloon owner Honey Shaw (Allison Dunbar), outlaw Pearl Starr (Alexia Dox) and undertaker Vernon Shaw (Robert Clendenin).
The second season of “Quick Draw” will be executive produced by Hower and Lehr and co-executive produced by Keith Raskin (“Key & Peele,” “The League”).
The show joins a previously announced Hulu 2014 original slate that includes “Deadbeat,” starring Cat Deeley, Tyler Labine, Brandon T. Jackson and Lucy DeVito, and Season 2 of “The Awesomes” from Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker.
