Fox has given a pilot order to an untitled comedy from “Red Oaks” writer Laura Steinel.

The half-hour single-camera comedy centers around Jane, who is caught between trying to manage her charmingly incompetent human resources department and a new eccentric CEO who dreams of bringing the New Jersey plastics plant into the future.

Steinel serves as writer and co-executive producer on the pilot from 20th Century Fox Television. Sue Naegle will serve as executive producer for Naegle Ink, and Jeff Schaffer will executive produce and direct.

This marks the fourth half-hour comedy ordered by the network.

Both “The Mick” from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” duo John and Dave Chernin, and an untitled time travel comedy from “The Last Man on Earth’s” Phil Lord and Chris Miller, received pilot orders.

In addition, Lord and Miller’s live-action/animation hybrid “Son of Zorn” was ordered straight to series.
