Reese Witherspoon, Keira Knightley, Meryl Streep’s Oscars Speeches Spoofed (Video)

Comedian Lauren O’Brien’s “Celebrities Practicing Oscar Speeches” is a follow-up to “Celebrities Stuck in Traffic”

Comedian Lauren O’Brien pulled off her best celebrity Oscar speeches before the big awards show Sunday.

As part of Fandango’s “Frontrunners” hub, the comic impersonated some of the stars, doing her best Reese Witherspoon, Keira Knightley and Meryl Streep knockoffs in front of her mirror.

Weaving in and out of different hair colors, accents and personas,  O’Brien took viewers inside the stars’ preparation: “Thank you, the real winner tonight is someone who’s not even born yet — my baby,” O’Brien said, deadpanning Knightley.

She next took on Streep, speaking into her finest hair comb while impersonating the legendary actress’ surprise when she wins awards:

“Oh my goodness, this is so unexpected,” she said.

“As a kid I was obsessed with watching the acceptance speeches at the Oscars,” O’Brien says.  “I would think to myself, ‘How memorized is this? How long did they take putting this speech together? What would I say if it were me?’ At the end of the night I would look at myself in the mirror, hold a hairbrush and pretend like I was the one actually accepting the Oscar.  Now as an adult, I guess not much has changed!”

O’Brien also did a video of her impersonations of actors not nominated for Oscars — but still practicing awards speeches. The celebrity list includes Drew Barrymore, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Bieber and more.
