“Full Frontal” host Samantha Bee told the Television Critics Association press tour that moving the show to Wednesday nights presented a “golden shower of opportunity.”

Bee was, of course, referencing the unsubstantiated reports that President-elect Donald Trump paid Russian prostitutes to urinate in front of him (aka “golden shower”) during trips to Moscow.

According to Bee, the move to Wednesdays will benefit her and her team on the show. “We’re all so excited. We wanted to move to Wednesdays for a really long time. In a workflow sense, in a life balance sense, it was just a better place for us to be.”

TBS recently announced that they have renewed the series for a second season and it will move from Monday night to Wednesdays, which began on Jan. 11. Bee, a former “Daily Show” correspondent, took late-night by storm when her show premiered in February.

The show currently reaches an average of 3.3 million viewers per episode across multiple platforms and ranks as one of television’s top three late-night series with adults 18-49.

Bee also said that up until election night, she and her team were looking forward to examining other subjects besides politics.

“One of the things that we thought would happen, had the election gone the way we all supposed it would, was that we’d be able to do a greater variety of stories that were not election-related,” she said. “And we can still do that — and we still will do that — because we are not only passionate about this one issue.”
