Gwen Stefani has a new ally in the form of Selena Gomez.
Stefani, who’s returning to the NBC singing competition “The Voice” for its ninth season as Christina Aguilera’s replacement, will be joined by Selena Gomez, who will serve as Stefani’s adviser, a spokesperson for the network told TheWrap on Monday.
The upcoming season will also see Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams returning as judges, with Carson Daly retaining hosting duties.
The new season will also feature Rihanna, who performed her song “Diamonds” on the Season 3 finale of the show, as a key adviser to the judges.
Gomez’s latest album “Revival” will be released on October 9.
The new season of “The Voice” premieres Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
