The NBC comedy pilot “The Trail” has added Krysta Rodriguez its cast.
From NBC and Warner Bros. TV, the single-camera comedy stars John Lithgow as Larry Henderson, a beloved poetry professor from a small Southern town on trial for the murder of his wife. “Gotham’s” Nicholas D’Agosto will play the the young “Northeastern” lawyer who leads his oddball defense team.
Rodriguez, whose previous credits include “Chasing Life” and “Smash,” will play Summer, the young adopted daughter who returns to help her father during the trial.
Sherri Shepherd, Jayma Mays and Steven Boyer are also set star in the pilot written by executive producers Jeff Astrof and Matt Miller. Jeffrey Blitz will direct.
