‘Star Wars’ Actress Carrie Fisher Warns Daisy Ridley: ‘Don’t Be a Slave Like I Was’

Veteran star tells newcomer in Interview magazine to push back against sexy outfits, but look forward to her first “space kiss”

For any newcomer to the “Star Wars” universe, a gab session with a founding cast member could prove essential in understanding the massive franchise and what it means to join its ranks.

Daisy Ridley, a fresh face in the Dec. 18 release ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” didn’t have to go far for that chat — Princess Leia herself interviewed her for the November issue of, well, Interview magazine.

“You’re going to have people have fantasies about you! That will make you uncomfortable, I’m guessing,” Fisher told Ridley, playing an unknown but very warrior-esque role in J.J. Abrams‘ new set of films.

Ridley agreed she would not be a fan of fantasies, and turned the question back on Fisher — who starred in the original trilogy alongside Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill.

“They always talk about how you’re a sex symbol, and how do I feel about that,” Ridley said.

Fisher disagreed, and gave Ridley a sound piece of advice for avoiding the same fate.

“You should fight for your outfit. Don’t be a slave like I was,” Fisher said, referring to the revealing “slave” uniform she donned in the third film of the original trilogy, “Return of the Jedi.”

While Fisher was wary of wardrobe, she told Ridley she was excited for the inevitable romance that comes in the galaxy. “I’m looking forward to your space kiss,’ Fisher said.  “You’re going to have to have one. Every girl does.”

Ridley laughed, but showed the restraint of a “Star Wars” veteran — no spoilers.

‘We’ll wait and see,” she said.
