NBC has renewed freshman comedy “Superstore” for a second season, the network announced Tuesday.

The series, which stars America Ferrera and Ben Feldman as employees in a big-box retailer, joins “Blindspot” and “Shades of Blue” as new series renewed by NBC this season. No decision has yet been made about “Superstore’s” timeslot partner “Telenovela” or the network’s other comedies.

“We’re thrilled to renew a show that’s so incredibly funny and relatable, full of great characters who are brought to life by an amazing cast and creative team,” Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment said in a statement. “After such a successful first season, we look forward to seeing more of the wonderful America Ferrera, Ben Feldman and the rest of this hilarious cast in season two.”

Series creator Justin Spitzer previously told TheWrap that while he doesn’t yet have a plan for the show’s second season, he “might want to start bringing in a little more of a sense of the corporation of Cloud 9.”

The workplace comedy has been a solid ratings performer for NBC, averaging 2.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.9 million total viewers, including seven days of delayed viewing.
