‘The Librarians’ Star Christian Kane Hints ‘Leverage’ Movie is ‘Going to Happen’ (Video)

“We all said yes,” actor tells TheWrap about the casts’ reaction to email from executive producer Dean Devlin, in a new episode of “Drinking With the Stars”

Good news for “Leverage” fans, Christian Kane thinks a movie follow-up will happen.

Kane, who currently stars on TNT’s “The Librarians,” said in the latest episode of TheWrap’s Drinking With the Stars that the cast — Timothy Hutton, Gina Bellman, Aldis Hodge, Beth Riesgraf and Kane — are all interested.

“I think that’s going to happen, actually. Dean sent an email to all of the actors, all five of us … and it all came back within two minutes — and Gina was oversees — and we all said yes,” he said. “We all want to do it, so I’m hoping that it happens.”

If the movie does materialize, it’ll have to work around Kane’s schedule on “The Librarians,” which TNT renewed for a 10-episode third season last week.

“I walked into this, and I really have to give credit to Noah Wyle, because he taught me that it’s okay to make fun of yourself,” Kane said of the series, which also stars Rebecca Romijn. “And so I started doing that on this show, and I didn’t realize how much fun that actually was. And so we’re just having a blast.”

“The Librarians” will wrap its second season on Dec. 27, which Kane promises will feature a lot more of Wyle’s character Flynn.

“Noah last year was doing ‘Falling Skies,’ so he only did a couple of episodes, [but] he’s getting ready to come in and finish out with us,” Kane teased. “So the whole fire team is going to be there. That’s something to look forward to.”
