‘The View’ Fired Up Over Obama and ISIS: ‘Damn it, I’m Getting Tired of These People Trying to Scare Us’ (Video)

Conservative co-host Nicolle Wallace defends the President while Whoopi Goldberg states her case for taking a stand in the Middle East

One week after President Obama addressed the nation regarding his plan to degrade and destroy terrorist group ISIL/ISIS, “The View” has decided to tackle what’s going on in the Middle East.

“If we don’t take this stand, we’re going to be afraid all the time,” Whoopi Goldberg told her co-hosts. “I don’t want to send anymore of our sons and daughters back into war, but damn it, I’m getting tired of these people trying to scare us.”

Also part of Thursday morning’s “Hot Topics” segment was Obama’s sinking approval ratings, which hit a new low this week.

Despite marking herself as “The View’s” new Republican co-host, Nicolle Wallace came out in support of President Obama.

“I worked for a president with these numbers,” Wallace explained. “It is really, really hard to govern. What’s upsetting to me is that this is probably the most important challenge our country faces — not our democratic president, us.

“I think the only fair critique that Republicans have is that in the past, he hasn’t always done what he said he was going to do,” Wallace continued. “I think he is this time. I think he is deadly serious.”

Quiet throughout much of the segment, left-leaning Rosie O’Donnell did offer comment on the United States repeating history.

“We have harmed people in the last ten years,” O’Donnell stated, “and I think as a country we need to own that and we need to own that we will be harming people in Syria as well.”
