‘The Walking Dead’ Star Andrew Lincoln Teases Season 6 Conflict: ‘It Goes Off the Chain’ (Video)

AMC releases new promo for zombie drama that returns Oct. 11

“The Walking Dead” cast and crew tease the upcoming sixth season of the AMC zombie drama in a new preview released Friday.

“The idyllic life of Alexandria is gone,” says executive producer Greg Nicotero in the clip. “Once our people came in, and brought in the whole vibe of the world outside.”

Last season saw the group of survivors, led by Andrew Lincoln‘s Rick Grimes encounter the Alexandria Safe Zone, where their hardened worldview clashed with the residents’ sense of security.

Season 6 starts with Alexandria’s safety shattered by multiple threats, forcing the residents to match the survivors’ hardness, while they must take a step back from the violence and pragmatism they’ve grown used to.

But the group will defend their home at any cost, even if the threat comes from within.

“Every single episode has been a season finale,” Lincoln says of the new season’s action. “And then it goes off the chain.”

“The Walking Dead” returns Oct. 11 on AMC.
