TLC Revisits ’90 Day Fiance’ Season 1 Alums: Were They Matrimonial Blisses or Misses? (Exclusive Video)

The new couples open up about life after rushing down the aisle on the upcoming “Where Are They Now?” special

The first season of “90 Day Fiance” told the stories of four foreign women who came to the U.S. with only three months to decide whether to wed, and now the TLC show is revealing if the honeymoon period is over for the couples in a “Where Are They Now?” special.

In TheWrap‘s exclusive video preview from the special, they share their marital blisses and misses in the time since Season 1 wrapped.

“Ninety days is not as much as you might think it is,” one of the stars says in the clip before they tied the knot. “I know I want to be with her and I want to spend my life with her.”

Bikini-clad newlyweds frolic in a hot tubs while crying brides walk down the aisle — but saying their vows was just the beginning.

“It is really hard because it’s a huge change in my life,” says another star. Another woman is asked, “Why couldn’t you meet someone in Russia?”

The couples now have new sets of struggles like meeting massive extended families from around the world, battling language issues, and with one new wife even wanting to return to Columbia.

Unfortunately, another couple, Louis and Aya, dropped out of the show after deciding they didn’t want their relationship to be a part of the series.

Produced by Sharp Entertainment, “90 Day Fiance’s” first season finale was watched by 2 million total viewers and was the highest-rated of the season with TLC’s key demographic of women 25-54 and the adult 18-49 demo.

The “Where Are They Now?” Season 1 special will air on Sunday, Oct. 19 on TLC at 8 p.m. ET right before the “90 Day Fiance” Season 2 premiere at 9 p.m. ET
