David Fincher is tapping some old collaborators to help him evoke the creepy backdrop for his big screen version of Gillian Flynn’s “Gone Girl.”

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and collaborator Atticus Ross, who together provided the moody, industrialized scores to Fincher’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and “The Social Network,” will handle music duties on the director’s latest, a spokesperson for Twentieth Century Fox told TheWrap.

Reznor let the cat out of the bag earlier on Twitter.

Previous collaborations with Fincher earned Reznor and Ross an Oscar and a Grammy, so it’s easy to see why they’re eager to remain in the fold.

“Gone Girl” stars Ben Affleck as a man who is implicated in the disappearance of his wife (Rosamund Pike). The film opens on Oct. 3, 2014.
