‘MacGyver’ Star Tristin Mays Teases Season Finale: ‘My Character Gets Very Bloody’ (Video)

“You’ll have to watch the show to find out exactly what that means,” Mays tells TheWrap

“MacGyver” star Tristin Mays teased that her character might be getting more physical in future episodes of the CBS action series.

“I think that she needs to kind of be ready for what’s to come,” Mays said in an interview with TheWrap’s Stuart Brazell. “This season finale gives her a wake up call … For her future, some more training, maybe some weapons.”

Mays plays the tough, sarcastic computer genius Riley Davis on the Lucas Till-led reboot of the classic ABC series. Though she says she could be getting more familiar with real-world kinds of weapons with the help of her step-father Jack, played by George Eads.

“He’s like the guy with the guns,” she said. “I’m sure he’s going to eventually teach me how to use them. So we’ll see. Definitely some more kicking butt.”

And based on the mysterious tease from Mays, it sounds like those butt-kicking skills could come in handy sooner rather than later.

“My character gets very bloody,” she said. “And you’ll have to watch the show to find out exactly what that means.”

The Season 1 finale of “MacGyver” airs Friday at 8/7c.
