"Entourage" star Kevin Connolly says not to get your hopes up about Charlie Sheen appearing in the last season of the show.

Show creator Doug Ellin told TV Guide this week that he's reached out to Sheen's manager to convince Sheen to appear on the show's final season. But Connolly told TheWrap it may already be too late.

"I don't think that it's going to happen, to be totally honest with you," he said. "Doug Ellin, when he writes the scripts... he's locked in. I guess he could write something in there, but we're sort of already done, script-wise. My guess would be no, it's not going to happen."

The show has already shot three of the last eight scripts, Connolly said. But we're still not counting Sheen out -- when has he ever turned down an opportunity for self-promotion?

Andrew "Dice" Clay, meanwhile, plays a big part in the final episodes, which begin airing July 24 on HBO.
