Steve Stark Named MGM's President of TV Production

Producer Steve Stark has been named MGM's president of television production.

Stark joins MGM Television from Steve Stark Productions, where he served as president and executive producer. He led the company to an overall deal with NBC/Universal Television.

In his new post, he will oversee all aspects of television and content development and production for network, cable and digital outlets. He will also lead development of new television properties and projects based on titles in the MGM library. 

He will report to Roma Khanna, MGM’s President of the Television Group and Digital. 

"Steve is an extraordinary talent with a tremendous track record and deep relationships in the television industry. His success working across multiple platforms, coupled with his creative energy make him the ideal executive for this position," said Khanna. "We could not be more thrilled to have Steve on our team as we grow our worldwide television studio business."

Stark has overssen or produced more than 1,900 TV episodes. He served as executive producer of the USA Network’s series "Fairly Legal," which is going into its second season, and on NBC's "The Event," which was canceled during its first season.

His credits also include executive producing CBS' long-running series "Medium."
